Golf Club Enhancement: What Exactly Is Happening?

As a reminder, the Golf Club will undergo the final phase of our infrastructure moratorium this summer, focusing on critical upgrades that enhance safety, improve efficiency, and better support our associates in their day-to-day operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Accounting

Q: I usually stop in and visit the Accounting Office while dropping off my bill. Where will I be able to drop off my payment?
A: Payment drop-off will be available at the Accounting Office Trailer located outside of John’s Island Rental Office in the Administration parking lot.  A drop box will also be available at the Market until Mother’s Day. As always, you are also welcome to drop off payments in the Administration Office.

Catering & Activities

Q: Will I still be able to order special birthday cakes for dining celebrations?
A: Yes, Catering is still fully operational. You may call 772-231-8560 or visit them in person. They are located in their temporary office trailer in the Fitness & Wellness Center north parking lot.

Q: My daughter just got engaged, and I am looking into having the wedding at John’s Island Club. Will I be able to meet with someone in person?
A: Congratulations! Yes, you may reach out to the Director of Catering & Activities, Monica Gibbon, who would be happy to arrange a meeting. She can be reached at 772-231-7618. 

Q: I need to meet with the Catering & Activities Office about the upcoming season. How do I do that now that the Golf Club is closed?
A: Catering is still fully operational. You may call 772-231-8560 or visit them in person. They will be located in their temporary office trailer in the Fitness & Wellness Center north parking lot.

Food & Beverage

Q: Where will I be able to order food?
A: À la carte dining and carry-out will continue to be available at the Beach Club. As in previous years, member dining will close on Mondays beginning in June and on Tuesdays beginning in mid-July. Please reference the Club’s hours of operations for more details (click here).

Q: What hot items will be available at the Market?
A: The Market will continue to offer a selection of hot items via the Food Truck stationed outside daily from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM through Sunday, May 10, when operations will relocate to the Beach Club. Beginning May 8 and continuing through the summer, we will offer coffee, smoothies, pastries, and a welcoming setting at Rafters to enjoy the newspaper and start the day.

Q: Will complimentary coffee be available at the Beach Club?
A: Yes, complimentary coffee will be available at the Market until early May, then at the Beach Club (Rafters) for the remainder of the summer.

Q: Will John’s Island Club do anything for the 4th of July?
A: Yes, we will host our traditional lobster dinner feast at the Beach Club. Unfortunately, we will not be able to host our annual fireworks celebration this year due to construction. However, we will ensure dinner concludes in time for the Vero Beach fireworks show.

Q: I usually stop by Reservations to make my dining reservations in person. What should I do now?
A: Reservations can be reached by calling 772-234-3010. They are open daily and happy to assist with your reservation needs.

Golf Club Bag Storage

Q: I have already left for the season. What will happen to my golf clubs?
A: Please contact the Golf Department at 772-231-8613. They will be happy to ship your clubs to you or safely store them over the summer if needed.

Golf Club Locker Rooms

Q: What happens if I have already left for the season and still have items in my locker?
A: Please contact the Golf Department at 772-231-8613. They will be happy to remove your items and mail them to you or safely store them if absolutely necessary.

Golf Shop & Tournament Office

Q: What will the Golf Shop and Tournament Office hours be?
A: The Golf Shop will continue with its traditional hours of operations. Now until May 3, the shop will remain open from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Beginning May 4th, the Shop will be open 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM.  

Q: What merchandise will be available to Members?
A: A curated selection of merchandise and all golf essentials will continue to be available during the renovation period. Golf operations and the Golf Shop will be located in an office trailer behind the bag drop.

Racquets & Mallets

Q: With all the construction happening at the Golf Club, will Racquets & Mallets be affected?
A: No, the Racquets & Mallets areas will not undergo any major construction this summer, but will have standard seasonal maintenance from time to time.

Q: Since the Golf Shop will have limited merchandise, will I be able to shop at the Athletic Shop?
A: Yes, the Athletic Shop will remain open throughout the summer with their traditional hours of operations. Beginning May 18, hours will be reduced to 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily.

Fitness & Spa Services

Q: The Fitness & Wellness Center front entrance is closed. How do I get into the fitness center?
A: We apologize for the inconvenience. Please enter through the east side of the building.

Q: Will construction disrupt my spa service experience?
A: We anticipate a brief closure of approximately one week in August while work is completed in this area. Additional details will be shared as they become available.

Q: How will I be able to access the spa area?
A: Please enter through the east side of the Golf Club and utilize the stairs or elevator inside the Fitness Center.

Q: Will someone assist me if I have to park farther away?
A: Parking will remain available outside the Fitness & Wellness Center throughout the summer.

Valet

Q: Will valet be available?
A: Yes, valet service will be available at the Beach Club throughout the summer and temporarily available at the back of the Golf Club.

What to Know & What to Expect

The main entrance to the Golf Club is closed. Please use Jack’s stairwell or elevator to access the Ballrooms as events wrap up.
Currently, the Golf Club is closed for renovations. À la carte and carry-out service are available at the Beach Club.
The Market is open offering grab-and-go options. The Food Truck will be located outside the Market for hot items from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 

The Market closes for the season on Monday, May 11. You may visit Rafters at the Beach Club for coffee, smoothies, newspapers, and breakfast sandwiches beginning, Friday, May 8. Just simply place your order at the counter. 

Locker rooms are completely closed, and all items have been removed.

The Golf Shop will remain open this summer. Beginning Monday, May 11, select merchandise will be relocated to the Golf Operations trailer near the bag drop for the remainder of the summer.
Exciting news! Our Bag Room is undergoing enhancements. Please make arrangements to take your clubs home this summer no later than Sunday, May 10.
Beginning Monday, May 11, the Tournament Office and Golf Shop will relocate to the temporary Golf Operations trailer near the bag drop.
The entrance to the Fitness Center will be relocated to the east side of the building, with normal operating hours continuing.

Seasonal Summer Hours (early closing)
May 1 – July 5 - closes at 6:00 PM 
July 6 – October 18 - closes at 5:00 PM 

 
Activities and Card Games will continue as scheduled. Please visit the Club website for updated room locations. 

Calendar 

Planning an event or party? The Catering Office has temporarily relocated to an office trailer in the North Fitness Center parking lot. They will continue to be available in person and via phone at 772-231-8560.

Have a question about your bill? The Accounting Office has temporarily relocated to a trailer in the Administration parking lot. They will continue to be available in person and by phone at 772-231-7664.
