Court Etiquette Policy

To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all members, we have established the following court reservation guidelines.

Court Etiquette
  • Access: Use the gates provided when approaching your court; do not cut across the court.
  • Movement: Please avoid walking beside or behind an active court during play. Wait until the point is finished before proceeding.
  • Transitions: If you are taking over a court, wait for players to finish the point—ideally the game—before entering.
  • Errant Balls: If your ball rolls onto a neighboring court, do not chase after it. Players on that court will return it.
  • Sportsmanship: Refrain from unsportsmanlike behavior or swearing. We strive to set a positive example for players of all ages.

Reservation Requirements
Members must reserve the exact number of courts they intend to use. If multiple courts are reserved, the reserving member is responsible for ensuring that all courts are occupied.

No-Show Policy
A $50 no-show fee will be charged if reserved courts are left unoccupied due to insufficient players. This policy discourages reserving more courts than necessary and promotes courtesy among members. Members who do not cancel their court reservation by 4:00 PM the day prior will be charged a $50 fee.

Court Utilization
Members are not required to leave their courts immediately at the end of their scheduled time if participating in a pro-run event that runs slightly over. If another reservation follows, current players may continue until all players for the next reservation arrive. If the next group is not fully present, current players may finish their play.

Conflict Resolution
In the event of a conflict, members not fully utilizing their reserved courts must vacate. Please contact a Racquets & Mallets associate for assistance if needed.

If lightning is detected in the area, all play must cease immediately, and players should seek shelter regardless of whether the lightning prediction siren has sounded. The Club reserves the right to stop play at any time if weather conditions are deemed threatening to players. When dangerous weather is predicted by the lightning detection system, one long blast of the siren will sound. Upon notification of dangerous weather, whether verbally or by siren, it is the responsibility of all players to seek shelter immediately. Play will resume when it is safe, indicated by three short blasts of the siren.
